Howard Ware Moore Jr's Obituary
Howard Ware Moore, Jr. passed away Tuesday at Clarehouse. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on September 21, 1927. He was a 1944 graduate of Oklahoma Military Academy, and joined the Navy soon after. Howard was especially proud of his thirty years service on the Tulsa Fire Department, where he retired as Captain in 1980. He subsequently spent nine years as Fire Marshal at St. Francis Hospital. Howard earned three college degrees in Fire Safety and Fire Technology, participated broadly in his community. Howard married Joan Stringfield on May 6, 1993. Service 10am Friday, Floral Haven Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clarehouse.Survived By: his wife Jody, his stepsons and their wives, Dave and Sandi Sanders and Don and Jane Sanders; five step-grandchildren and eight step great grand-daughters; and two cousins, Rozanne Bryan and John Moore, who all loved him and will miss him dearly.
