H. Loyd Bennett Jr., a longtime resident of Jenks, Oklahoma, passed away on February 10, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on October 18, 1949, Loyd lived a life marked by dedication, service, and quiet strength.
A proud United States Army veteran, Loyd served his country with honor before beginning a long career with the United States Postal Service, where he worked faithfully until his retirement. He was known for his steady work ethic, his loyalty to those he cared about, and his deep roots in the Jenks community.
Loyd is survived by his sons, Brett Bennett and Curtis Bennett; his longtime close friend, Patty Van Tuyl; and his siblings, Kenny Bennett and Donna Shimanek. He also leaves behind a host of extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
