Ida G. Williams' Obituary
Ida G. Williams (Gerry), born July 16, 1925 in Greenwood Arkansas, died peacefully at 9:30 pm on June 14, 2013 at St John Hospital in Tulsa Oklahoma. Survived by her son Ken and wife Carrie Williams, brother Frank Everett and sister Norma Cazzell, granddaughter Jessica Weakley, grandsons Daniel Williams and Kevin Williams, great grandchildren Aiden Williams, Daxton Weakley and Abrey Weakely. She was preceded in death by her sons Ronald and Stephen Williams and husband of 52 years, David G. Williams.Gerry loved gardening and cooking and is well remembered for her many meals prepare for her family and friends, and especially her pies.She was best known as Grandma to family, neighbors and any kids that came by while playing in the vicinity. And they were usually rewarded with homemade cookies or a slice of pie while warming up between snowball fights in winter or cooling down after playing in the garden hose in summer.She was active and independent until her last 3 weeks, driving and shopping, and worked out at the health club well into her 80's, making sure that she didn't have to depend on anyone but herself.She made peace with God and accepted Jesus as her salvation, realizing that throughout her life, He was always there. In her last days, she was confident that He was there reassuring her that He would take care of everything. It brought her great peace.She was tough and fought the good fight and in the end she decided the fight was over and headed home. Rest in Peace Grandma.
