Ila Jean Treat's Obituary
Ila J. Treat, 76, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, of Broken Arrow, passed on to our Lord on April 9, 2015 at Hillcrest South Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ila was born to Harold and Berta Seymour on January 30, 1939 in Reece, Kansas. She was the fifth of six children and graduated from Eureka High School in 1957. After living in Kansas for all of her life, she moved to Tulsa in 1987. There she worked in various office jobs until she met and married Sam Treat in 1990. Ila was a full-time homemaker, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Ila was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Broken Arrow. She enjoyed her time singing with the Joy singers and playing dominoes with friends. Her family was very important to her. She is survived by her husband, Sam, of the home; brother: Jim Seymour and wife, Marilyn, of Eureka, Kansas; children: Janet Gustafson and husband Dewey of Shawnee, Kansas, Brian Knotts of Wichita, Kansas, Sharon Mattke and husband Paul of Broken Arrow, Kent Treat and wife Marla of Dallas, Melissa Pierce and husband Randy of Oklahoma City, and Phillip Treat and wife Krista of Jenks; thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and two sisters. Visitation will be from 1-4 pm on Sunday, April 12th at Floral Haven Funeral Home in Broken Arrow. Funeral Service will be at 12:30 PM, Monday, April 13th at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow.
