Ilona Helen Hughes' Obituary
Passed away in her bed at her home in bixby Oklahoma She has a daughter Ilona g Hughes, Ilona's g Hughes partner Brian Kelso, son John p Hughes jr., a daughter in law Shauna ray hazel/hughes, and 3 grandchildren Miranda Renee Hughes, Matthew Alexander wright and Brianna Kay schillings, and her fur grandbaby Shyloh Hughes, she outlived 2 husbands, first one John p Hughes sr. She was married to him for 20 years and than remarried in 2012 to Thomas ray stewart! She escaped from the Cold War or also known as the iron curtain at age 6, she traveled from there to New York where she lives until her mid 20s and than moved to Oklahoma, she took horse back riding lessons around the age of 12, went to birding school as well, when she got to Oklahoma she worked as a phlebotomist working at st. Francis hospital in the lab, she eventually left that job and became a homemaker and had her kids, she did some traveling with her first husband but came back to Oklahoma and settled down, she worked at Walmart, Arby's and Braun's for a little bit, she loved to craft mainly crochet and needle point! She loved home made things and she loved to cook when she got chance! She loved music especially soft Christian music and her favorite holiday was Christmas! Her favorite animals were horses, Canadian geese and ducks! She loves animals and she also loved singing! She knew how to speak different languages, Hungarian, German, welsh, etc. she loved reading! Her favorite color was blue! She loved birds, flowers and gold things that sparkled! She had a huge heart and if she could help someone she would! She went through a lot of battles in life but always found a way through no matter what! She loved gardening and decorating, she loved telling people about her adventures and telling stories! She loved going on adventures and seeing new things! She loved joining around and having a good laugh! She knew how to be serious when she needed to be and relax! She was diagnosed with a tumor in her head around 9 years ago and had it removed, it was benign but she still had to relearn everything as if she was a child all over again, regardless sh overcame all odds and found herself! She was an extremely strong woman! Just when you thought you had her figured out, she'd go and surprise you with something new she knew or something she was taught!
Her smile lit up the room and so did her bright, warm and kind spirit! She would always do her best to guide people in the right direction and no matter what she and kind spirit! She always told people don't ever hold a grudge, anger or hatred towards anyone because it's bad for you soul! She lived by the saying you reap what you sow, let go and let God, sometimes it's better just to turn the other cheek and sometimes you need to do what you don't want to and be the bigger person! She had a extremely huge heart and a very giving heart no matter what life put her through! She loved to pray for others! She had her bad days but overall she was an amazing, gorgeous, beautiful person inside and out! She also loved God time! Every morning she would take an hour to read her Bible and just pray and read her devotion and pray for others! She battle different medical things like having a cold, the tumor, having her thyroid removed other stuff but she always came out of top no matter what! Nothing could her down!!! She is and always will be a strong beautiful warrior! She will continue to live on through family and all our memories! We will always love her!
She will never ever ever be forgotten or replaced!!! Her favorite snack was a twist from braums and she was deep in natural vitamins! She loved a home cooked meal! I could keep going but I know there's only so much room!
