Imogene Lillian Barton's Obituary
Imogene Lillian Megee Barton was born on November 14, 1930 to Laura Ruth & Wiley Buchanan Megee in Broken Arrow, OK. She passed away April 28, 2011 at the age of 80 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is survived by her husband, George Jackson Barton, her children, Robert Bruce Barton, George Jay Barton, Linda Lee Barton, & Judy Barton Nichols, and her four grandchildren, Nicholas Barton, Jackson Barton, Elizabeth Nichols & Jackson Nichols. She also is survived by her siblings Jack Megee, Russell Megee, & Judy Megee Adsit. Imogene was a loving Christian wife and mother. She dedicated her life to homemaking and created a loving home for her husband & children. She was a marvelous cook and seamstress. She loved and was a blessing to her extended church families. She taught Sunday School for many years and had a lovely voice and sang alto in the church choir. She was always active in both her Church home in Olive, Oklahoma and Garnett Road Baptist in Tulsa. Imogene will always be remembered for her loving ways and sense of humor. She took great delight in her grandchildren. She loved the beauty of God's creation especially birds and roses. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
