Imogene King's Obituary
Imogene Ann Looney Green King, 84, passed away at 9:20 A.M. on September 9, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born November 18, 1935 in the Miller Community of Bentonville, Arkansas to J.P. Melton Looney, Jr. and Rachel Ellen Short Looney. She was a 1954 graduate of Bentonville High School. She married her High School Sweetheart and the love of her life, Tommy Junior Green in June 1954. They made their homes in Bella Vista, Arkansas, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Bakersfield, California and finally retiring to Gold Beach, Oregon. She worked as a Book keeper, a Bank teller, and then became a successful Avon Sales Lady making friends everywhere she went. She spent the last 2 years, 3 months, and 8 days of her life near her daughter, Lesa Jarratt. She was predeceased by her father and mother, a brother, Alvin Dean Looney, grandson, Michael Green, a nephew, Micah Looney, a sister-in-law Shirley Looney and her spouses, Tommy Junior Green and Seymour King; She is survived by her daughter, Lesa Jarratt, her son, Marty Green (former wife Danielle), two brothers, Danny Looney (wife Carlene) and David Looney. Grandsons Shane Border and wife Brittany, Dakota Green and wife Olivia, Jordan Green and wife Makayla, Tristan Green and wife Ashlyn and Granddaughter Ashlyn Green; and five great-grandchildren (4 great-grand daughters, 1 great-grandson, and another on the way.) She was a life long member of the Church of Christ and enjoyed gardening, cooking, and traveling the world. Her sweet smile and famous fried chicken will be sorely missed. A visitation will be held Tuesday, September 15, 2020 from 2 pm to 6 pm. The family wishes to thank the exceptional staff of The Linden and Seasons Hospice.
