Inell Gaddy Allen, was a very special person. Her/my family of Gaddys moved from Missouri to Indian Territory in 1899. Inell and my Mother, Ruby Gaddy Johnston McClelland, were first cousins. Their Fathers were brothers; and of that generation there were ten brothers and sisters. THEY WERE PART OF THE GREATEST GENERATION!
Inell was born in 1929, and was the third from last Gaddy cousin born. Most of her cousins were several years older than her. Inell outlived all of her THIRTY-NINE COUSINS. Can you imagine all of the shouting and hugging when her cousins welcomed her into heaven?
I loved going with Mom to see Inell when she lived just south of us. Her home was spotless and everything in its place, always. And that was several years ago when you didn't feel that you had to call before dropping in. And her flowers! She loved her beautiful flowers that were everywhere in and outside of their beautiful home; I loved them too. She got that from her Mother. Inell was so sweet, gentle and kind. It was always a joy to visit her in person when she was still in Broken Arrow, and then when she used her Grandpad in Texas. She was always so tickled to visit. I loved seeing her sons and grand kids. And then there is George, who always seemed to steal the show. She loved talking about George, and there was always a chuckle in her voice when she did.
Stephen and Mark, you were so blessed to have the parents you had; I loved them both. It was good to spend a little time with you and your families at your Mother's funeral. May God bless all of you, and may all the loving memories you have of your Mother bring you peace and comfort forever.
With Love and Prayers,
Marcella Pense
