Ira "Buck" Baker's Obituary
Ira Neal "Buck" Baker, aged 88, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on May 10, 1935, in Carthage, Missouri, to his parents Opie Guthrie Baker and Edna Hautan Martindale Baker. On November 6, 1954, he joined hands in matrimony with Wanda Lee Albin, and together they shared over 64 cherished years until her passing in 2018.
Buck had a passion for repairing bicycles and lawnmowers, relishing the thrill of hunting for unique treasures at garage sales. He found joy in traveling, embarking on cruises, and exploring the depths while scuba diving. Additionally, Buck dedicated many years to serving on the finance committee at his church.
Buck is survived by his only daughter, Teri Gnaedinger, and her husband Gary, residing in Katy, Texas. He leaves behind two grandchildren, Erik Ryan Gnaedinger and his wife Kim of Katy, Texas, and Amanda Grace Gnaedinger and her fiancé Harold Nieves Fisch of Los Angeles, California. Buck's great-grandson, Ryan Joseph Gnaedinger of Katy, Texas, also cherishes his memory, along with numerous friends and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, his son, Darrin Douglas Baker, and one sister, Kathleen Cross.
