Ira "Al" Light, Jr.'s Obituary
Ira Alfred "Al" Light, Jr., 89 of Owasso, Oklahoma passed from this life on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Oxford Glen in Owasso. He was born February 18, 1932 in Anna, Illinois to his parents, Ira Alfred Light and Ruth Brown Light. On September 13, 1955 he married the love of his life, Ruby "Irene" Bridges and they shared the next 65 years together before her passing in February of 2020.
Al is survived by three children, Jim Light and his wife Karen of Owasso, Oklahoma, Connie Stephens and her husband Greg of Anchorage, Alaska and Gerald Light of Stillwater, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Jeff Stephens, Austin Light, Aaron Light, Dana Stephens and Garrett Light; five great-granddaughters; and many friends and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and four sisters, Helen Pack, Esther Murray, Margie Truesdale and Irma Herman.
Visitation will be held from 3-6 p.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Floral Haven's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be private at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
