Irene Ursula Jensen's Obituary
Irene Ursula Jensen, 94, long-time resident of Broken Arrow,OK. passed away December 1, 2020. She was born on July 23, 1926 in Poland to Johann and Helene Gronau. During World War II her family moved to Germany where she met and married the love of her life Helmut on October 26, 1946 and they immigrated along with their three children to Tulsa, Ok. in 1956. Her favorite activities included family get togethers, fishing, puzzles, needlework crafting and cultivating beautiful flowers in her garden. One of her proudest accomplishments was becoming a naturalized citizen. She will be fondly remembered as a loving, caring mother and grandmother. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, siblings; Gertrud, Bruno, Eddie and Withold; son, Horst and husband, Helmut of 74 years. Survivors include children Tracy Manderick (Carl), Wichita, KS, Peter Jensen (Stephanie), Broken Arrow, OK. and sister; Melitta Nass, Biberach, Germany. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews as well as many friends and neighbors.
Gravesite services will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 3 pm at the Garden of Reflections at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
