Irene Maggia's Obituary
Irene Maggia, 89, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022. Irene was born November 1, 1932 in Manchester, England to George and Monica Chapman. Irene married the love of her life James Maggia on February 5, 1955, at Burtonwood Air Force Base in Cheshire, England where James was stationed. From there the two would move to Oklahoma to start their lives and begin raising a family…….
Being from England, Irene was known for her cheeky “British” attitude, and was a joy to be around.
In her free time, Irene loved to go out dancing and spend time in her flower garden.
Irene is preceded in death by her husband James Maggia, and daughter Carolynn Flores.
She is survived by her daughters Donna Gruenwald, Gloria Martin and significant other Scott Thornburg, son Tony Maggia, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and loved ones.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at 3:00 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens
