Ivan Baker
September 7, 1942 – April 28, 2026
Ivan Baker, 83, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on September 7, 1942, Ivan lived a life marked by devotion to his faith, his family, his country, and the simple joys that made him who he was.
Ivan is survived by his loving wife, Judy Baker; his children Doug Baker, Mark Baker, and Joanna Baker; his grandchildren Joshua, Sierra, Lynsie, and Gunner Baker; and his great‑grandchildren Aaron Baker and Lydia. He also leaves behind a large extended family and many friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Ivan was remembered fondly for his masterful mowing skills, a talent he took great pride in, and for his love of fishing during his younger years. He graduated from Baptist Bible College in 1972, where he studied from 1970–1972, and later served faithfully as an associate pastor in his free time—offering guidance, encouragement, and a steady presence to those around him.
A proud Army Veteran, Ivan carried his sense of duty and discipline throughout his life. Professionally, he worked at Bertek Flight Simulators as a mechanical assembly and Flight Safety technician. His sons fondly remember the excitement of him bringing home large pieces of aircraft equipment—treasures that became the building blocks of childhood clubhouses and imaginative adventures.
Ivan’s life was defined by quiet strength, unwavering faith, and a deep love for the people around him. His legacy lives on in the stories shared, the lessons taught, and the generations who carry his spirit forward.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
