Ivan D. Herrera's Obituary
Ivan D. Herrera, was born January 17th, 1935, in Columbia, South America. He was one of many siblings. He graduated from Republica de Columbia in 1954 with a class of 22 students. He came to the states when he was 19, following some of his brothers. He served 4 years in the army stationed in France/Germany. He married Helen Herrera October of 1962.He was a tailor his whole life. He worked at two different shopping centers in OKC. He moved to Tulsa when I was four. He worked at Utica Square, then at Vandaevers at Southroads, Renbergs at Woodland Hills, then at Ed Beshears located at 36th/Harvard where he later retired to stay at home and take care of my mom when she took sick.He was a very hard worker and loved his family. He definitely believed in getting an education. He attended church his whole life. He loved camping outdoors, fishing, and working out in the yard. I was always daddy’s girl, and he counted on me for many things. He’s now resting in peace beside my mom forever, and his spirit is with her in heaven
