J Dee Coon, 87, was born on September 17, 1929 in Elkland, Missouri and passed away on August 27, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.He was a fun spirited man and had a carefree sense of humor. He quite enjoyed the company of others and had some great, comical stories about family.J Dee loved fishing, listening to music, and watching sports- especially if it involved the University of Tulsa.He served in the US Army and was a Korean War Veteran.Mr. Coon worked many years for McDonnell Douglas before moving on and retiring from Sears.J Dee is preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy Coon; parents Frank and Maude Coon; sister Waverly Carr; and brother-in-law Carl Don Carr.He is survived by his daughters Janis Coon and Carol Stotts; son James and wife Gina Coon; son Steven and wife Linda Coon; four grandchildren Rochelle, Nicole, Erin, and Nathan; five great grandchildren; niece Carlene and husbannd Rich LeFevre; niece Paulette and Armond Pelissetti; nephew Patrick Michael Buddy Carr and wife and children Susan Collins and Julie Long; and long time girlfriend, Phyllis Smith. He was dearly loved and will forever be in our hearts. Graveside services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, September 1, 2017 at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
