J R Fox's Obituary
J R Fox passed from this life on December 18, 2014 at the age of 84. He was born Nov 10, 1930 to John and Gladys Fox in Depew, OK. He married Doris Joan Fox on January 15, 1951 and they celebrated their 60th anniversary in 2011 shortly before her passing. They have three children Philip Fox, Marsha Fox Ensminger, and Roger Fox. Most recently, J R married Judith Cogburn on April 12, 2014. Broken Arrow has been J R’s home for the past 50 years where he has been a member of County Line Baptist Church. J R proudly served his country with combined four years service in the National Guard and during the Korean War where he fought with the 45th Division after attending Infantry School at Fort Benning, GA. J R’s career was spent with Long Bell Lumber Co. and as General Manager, of Southern Millwork Company. His hobbies included his family, church, friends and all things Cowboy. He is survived by wife Judith, daughter Marsha and husband Butch, son Roger and wife Cindy, 4 grandchildren, Bethany Moore and husband, Jac, Jonathan Fox and wife, Ginny, Adam Fox and Ben Fox; 5 great-grandchildren, Cameron Duckett, Katie Duckett, Kyle Duckett, Logan Fox, and Asher Fox; and 1 sister, Shirley Flatt and husband, Doyle. He was preceded in death by wife of 60 years and the mother of his children, Joan, son Phil and wife Sherry, granddaughter Robin, parents and brother Richard. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday Dec 23, Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow with visitation 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm Monday evening. Interment will be at the Veterans Field of Honor Floral Haven Memorial Garden.Memorial contributions can be made in J R’s honor and name to the local DAV.
