Jack Warren Dikeman's Obituary
Jack W. Dikeman, 89, passed away on May 16th, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jack was born on January 28th, 1926 in Arkansas City, KS to Eula and Olin Dikeman. He graduated from North High school in Wichita, KS in 1944. After high school, Jack went on to serve in the military for both the Marines and the Army. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Jack married his first love, Doris Daniels of Wichita, KS in 1944. They had two sons while living in Wichita and later moved to Tulsa, OK where Jack began his career at First National Bank, where he worked for 35 years. He retired in 1988 as the Senior Trust Officer. After Jack’s first wife, Doris, passed away, Jack was very blessed to have had a second great love of his life, Bettye “Jeanne” Dikeman, whom he married in 1985. Jack was a member of the Tulsa Men’s Club, the Rotary Club, Southern Hills Country Club and was on the Board of Directors at Hillcrest Hospital. Jack loved to travel and was also an avid golfer and fisherman. He also dearly loved his Yorkies, Twinkie, Georgie and Hannah. Jack was a wonderful, kind and gentle man who was loved by all who knew him. Jack is survived by his sons Terry and Randy Dikeman, his daughter in-law Lucy Gunn-Dikeman, his grandchildren, Cory Dikeman, Jennifer and Brian Schnelle, Khalin Higgins, January and Patrick Gilmore, and his great-grandchildren, Brandon Schnelle, Noah Higgins, Ryan Schnelle and Madison Higgins. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Dikeman, his second wife, Bettye “Jeanne” Dikeman, and his parents. The family will be holding a private memorial service at Floral Haven Funeral Home.
