Jack Donald Heflin's Obituary
Jack Donald Heflin died July 6, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jack was born October 3, 1931, in Barnsdall, Oklahoma to Robert and Gladys Heflin.
Jack is survived by his daughters Deanna Heflin of Broken Arrow, and Janet Heflin of Tulsa; grandson, Josh Heflin of Tulsa; sister, Sharon Olsen of Sapulpa and Wanda Bayer of Tampa, FL.
He was preceded in death by, his wife Elena Heflin; infant son, David Alan Heflin; parents; brothers, Jim Heflin and Jerry Heflin, sisters Betty Milleson, and Barbara Baldridge, Bess Duston, and Joanne Ishan.
Jack worked at PSO from June 1958 to February 1981 and then retired from Sentinel in 2014 at the age of 83.
Jack loved gardening, especially orchids. He was a long-time member of the Orchid Society and raised over 200 different orchids. He was a volunteer at the Philbrook. H enjoyed working and made numerous birdhouses and crosses for friends and family
He attended Central Nazarene Church. Jack also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and served part of that time in Japan.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, July 19th, at Floral Haven Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 20th, at Central Nazarene Church, Tulsa, and the committal service to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
