Jack Alton Jones' Obituary
Jack Alton Jones, 91 of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed from this life on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at his residence with family by his side. He was born November 19, 1929 in Jenks, Oklahoma to his parents, John C. Jones and Rosie L. Cantrell Jones. He married the love of his life, Ruby Louella "Betty" Jordan on July 19, 1949 and they have shared in over 71 wonderful years together.
Jack graduated from Union High School with the Class of 49 where he played basketball and met his future wife Betty. He spent his career with the Continental Baking Co. as a route salesman, serving stores in around the Tulsa area. After retiring he purchased a Pepperidge Farm route which he ran for many years. Retiring from that he went to work for O'Reillys Auto Parts delivering auto parts to local mechanics. At the age of 80 he finally retired for good.
Boating at Oklahoma lakes, skiing and camping with cousins filled many fun years with family. He loved his Gold Wing motorcycle and he and his wife took many fun road trips with their best friends, Tom and Dean Reynolds.
,He was a good handyman and got great pleasure from helping his family with their projects. He loved watching westerns and professional golf. He will be greatly missed.
Jack is survived by his loving wife, Ruby "Betty" Jones of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two daughters, Pam King and her husband Charles of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Deborah Bickel and her husband Larry of Rowlette, Texas; one sister, Linda Mays of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Larry J. Bickel and his wife Cristy of Austin, Texas, Melissa Miesse and her fiancé Dex Hammonds of Garland, Texas and Tyler King of Tulsa, Oklahoma; four great-grandchildren, Jackson, Jocelyn and Juliette Miesse and Alice Bickel; and a host of friends and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jack Kevin Jones; two siblings, JT Jones and Bill Jones; and a grandson, Charles Clayton King.
Visitation will be held from 3-6 PM on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Services are private.
