Jack Leon Osborn's Obituary
Jack Leon Osborn, April 26, 1934-July 3, 2009, was born and raised in Ada, OK and Alice, TX and graduated from Ada High School. He retired from Amoco after 34 years of service as a Senior Laboratory Research Technician. Jack was a veteran of both the U.S. Army and Air Force Reserves. He was a long time member of the Church of Christ and resident of Broken Arrow, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents, Silas G. and Dovie Mae Osborn; his brothers, Dick and Carl and his beloved wife of over 50 years, Melcena. Jack was happily married to his loving wife, Betty, on February 14, 2009. Jack loved being with his family, having fun with friends and the great outdoors. Jack touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and maintained his trademark sense of humor. Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of his life service 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at Broken Arrow Church of Christ. Interment will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the American Heart Association ot St. Francis Children’s Hospital.Survived By: Jack will forever be remembered by his children, Steve of Tahlequah,OK, Kevin and his wife, Linda of Broken Arrow, OK and Michelle Wood and her husband, Chris of Oklahoma City, OK; three step-children, James Greenwood and wife, Michelle of Austin, TX, Tracy Greenwood of Midland, TX and Peter Dawson and his wife, Amy of Verdigris, OK; nine grandchildren, two great-grandsons, along with countless other family and friends who were blessed to know him.
