Jack L. Woods' Obituary
Jack Lee Woods went to join his family members in the heavenly choir on Dec. 17, 2013. He was born on Dec. 24, 1919 to Robert Earl and Hazel Henry Woods at Copan, Oklahoma. In 1939 he married Irene Pickering, and they celebrated 69 years together before her passing in 2009. Jack was employed as an electrical engineer for 43 years by Public Service Co. of Oklahoma, except for his service during World War II as a navigator in the Army Air Corps. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, James and Betty Woods of Mountain View AR, Luann Woods Bowen of Tulsa, OK, grandson David Woods, his wife Jennifer and 3 children of Oklahoma City, OK, and longtime family friend Shirlene McInturf of Tulsa, OK. He was predeceased by his parents, 7 brothers and sisters, daughter Helen Bishop and son-in-law Vern Bowen. Services will be at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Friday Dec. 20 at 12:30.
