Jack Franklin's Obituary
Jackie Franklin, of Tulsa, went to be with the Lord on August 1, 2021 while at the St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Jack was born May 9, 1929 in Cardin, Oklahoma to Edward and Della Franklin. He was proceeded in death by his wife Arlene, both of his parents, his brothers David and Edward James Jr. Jack’s surviving family includes, his brother Don, and his sister Carol. His daughter Kimberly Camp and her husband David. Her four children: Krissie Springer, Neils Camp, Timothy Camp, and Benjamin Camp. Krissie is married to Christopher and they have two children James and Colt. Neils is married to Lisa and their child is Hayden. Timothy is married to Cindy and their four children: Jack, Thorsen, Rose, and Wulfric. Ben and his children Dean and Oliver.
Jack joined the Air Force on August 5, 1948 until July 5, 1952. He came home and married his sweetheart, Arlene Rhea Zaerr on December 20, 1953. They lived in Joplin and raised their daughter, Kim. Jack worked for W. R. Grace as a credit manager. They moved to Tulsa in 1973, where he spent the rest of his life. Jack’s greatest joy in life was the Lord and his family. He loved to sing, especially silly songs he made up to the grand and great grandchildren. Jackie was a “terrifical” husband, father, grandpa, and great-grandpa.
