Jackie Ann Miller's Obituary
Jackie Ann Miller was born January 17, 1951 in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to Kenneth and Ruby Miller. She passed to her eternal home after several brave health battles and pneumonia on January 7, 2024.
Jackie moved to Tulsa from Muskogee at age 2 when her father became a mechanic with the Ford Motor Company. Jackie attended Alcott Elementary and after spending a couple of years in St. Joseph, Missouri the family returned to Tulsa and then she graduated from McLain High School. Jackie was very athletic and was considered the best baseball pitcher in the league. She never failed to hit home runs in every game and still has the documentation making her the fastest runner in school. Even the boys were envious of her athletic abilities. Jackie was also very popular in school. She received the honor of Queen in both Jr. High and High School. While in Missouri, Jackie was involved in a car accident that was very serious and required a lot of recovery time. After graduation, Jackie worked at B&B Meats as a butcher and loved her job. Before the car accident, Jackie aspired to be a Physical Education Teacher. Although Jackie had some serious relationships in her lifetime, she would never marry nor did she have children. She had an immense love for her animals, raising many dogs throughout the years. Her animals were here children.
Jackie will be remembered for her kindness, her joy for life and devotion to others. Her smile could light up a room. She was a very passionate person, a devoted daughter, a loving aunt and a beloved sister. Her kindness never wavered even when her health did. You never left her presence without a compliment. Jackie’s extreme love for animals was so evident that it shined and she rescued many of them. She was passionate in her missions to save them all. Jackie was also very proud of her Cherokee Heritage and made many many dream catchers over the years. Jackie had a passion for writing and poetry with several poems being selected for publication and awarded editor’s choice. Jackie also loved all kinds of music and had a very impressive vinyl collection. She was known to be singing and dancing often! Her fun, loving presence and spirit will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her sisters Vickie Miller, Connie Miller and Bobbi Bubenik; nieces and nephew,Jamie Asbury ( George Asbury) Shay Taylor and Jason Taylor (Andrea Taylor). She is also survived by great nieces and nephews, Alex Reid (Quinn Reid) Michael Taylor, Elijah Taylor, Isabella Taylor , Isiah Taylor and Reana Reid.
She was reunited in Heaven with her parents, Ruby and Kenneth Miller; grandparents, James and Ada Hood and all of her beloved animals.
