Mike and I met the Vasseurs through color guard at Union HS. The Chambers, the Littles. the Vasseurs and we would go to all the games and band competitions. We'd meet at Village Inn after the games. Recently Jacki and I would meet every month for lunch to catch up on kids and grandkids. We shared about our faith in Jesus. She wanted to join my Bible study group, but couldn't sit that long. We laughed and enjoyed our time together. I will miss her dearly, but will see her again in heaven!

I met Jacki through our mutual friend Verda Chambers. Jacki adored her family and would do anything to support them with love.
She was a great friend also who laughed easily and loudly. She and Verda and I had a running, slightly off-colored joke that had a partial punchline of “How nice. How very, very nice.” When one of us was telling the others about something fun that we were able to do one or more of us was sure to say, “How nice. How very, very nice.” and then we’d all laugh.
It was impossible to be around Jacki and not to be blessed by her.

I remember Jacki always with a smile on her face. I also remember her and Chuck as an amazing couple, who enjoyed doing everything together. They were sure an example of true love. I am sad she left us, but happy that they are together again. Rest in peace, Jacki. You will be missed by all of us.

Jacki was more than just a stepmother to me. She was a second mom. She met my dad when I was very young and has always treated me as if I was her own (blood) child. She was always there for me whenever I needed someone to talk to and vice versa. We were there for each other no matter what. This news about her passing has saddened me very much and I will miss her greatly! RIP Jacki. You were a blessing in my life and in many others.

Our family met the Vasseur family shortly after both of our families moved to Broken Arrow, when was in 1st grade and my sister and Andrea were in 2nd grade. Our families hit it off right away and their home was like a second home to my sister and me. So many of my memories, from 1st grade all the way through high school, include the Vasseurs. Some of my favorite memories with Jacki include: Christmas crafts, recording “Eternal Flame”, Super Bowl gatherings, hanging out at Charlie Mitchell’s, play dates, sleep overs, singing and dancing in their living room and Jacki trying to teach us the jitterbug, and of course all the softball and Colorguard memories. Jacki loved so well and loved with her whole heart. She was fun, witty, sarcastic and had a laugh I will never forget. Jacki, thank you for the memories, you will be missed.

Jacki was more than just a friend she was like a sister to me and I am so glad I got to know her. I enjoyed our lunches together and talking about any and every thing. She always made me laugh. When she was having a bad day at work all I had to do was ask her about her grandkids and she would get a smile on her face and tell me everything they were doing. She would always send me videos of Lexi flying through the air and Jacob playing in the band. A beautiful soul for sure.
