Jacqueline Charlene England's Obituary
Jacqueline “Jackie” England was born in Lovejoy, Georgia, in 1935. Life tested her early—her father, Jefferson Bruno Eubanks, tragically died trying to save others in a car accident when Jackie was just two years old. Her mother, Lillie Terrel Eubanks, passed from cancer when Jackie was nine. After that, she moved to Oklahoma and was raised by her sister Buena with cousins Joy and Doris, and sister Francis with her son Donnie Crow, who was like a brother to her, and her beloved brother, James Linwood Eubanks..
Jackie graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1953. In 1955, she married Gaylord Glover, and together they built a life full of love, raising four children: Christopher Michael, Mark Andrew, Catherine Renee, and Darren Keith. The family lived in Independence, Kansas; Fort Worth, Texas; and Emporia, Kansas until Gaylord’s untimely death in an airplane accident in 1969. Jackie then returned to Tulsa, where she met and married Loyd England in 1970, sharing a devoted marriage until Loyd’s passing at age seventy-seven.
Jackie lived her life with purpose and joy. She was a proud homemaker whose house gleamed with care and love. An avid bowler and golfer well into her seventies, she danced with a spirit that lifted those around her. In later years, she cherished her friendship with Basil Fraley, which brought her great happiness.
For over two decades, Jackie was a member of the Jenks Senior Center. There she found her community—laughter-filled bus trips, countless games of dominoes and cards, and friendships that enriched her life. She especially loved blues music and had a soft spot for Ray Charles.
Despite the hardships she faced early in life, Jackie persevered with grace. She was a shining example to her children of strength, humor, and determination. Jackie’s love for her family was unwavering—her children Chris, Mark, Cathy, and Darren; grandchildren Andy, Kacie, Christa, Johnny, and Cheyenne; and great-grandchildren Tinley, Daeton, Tristan, Aubrey, Rylan, Andrew, and Brantley were her heart’s center.
On Friday, July 18, 2025, Jackie spent her afternoon as she so often had—playing dominoes with friends at the Jenks Senior Center, then heading to River Spirit Casino. She won a hundred dollars at her favorite machine, and, as she had joked many times, she passed on doing something she loved. One of her final moments was a triumphant one—a small victory that echoed the spirit of her extraordinary life.
She leaves behind a legacy of resilience, laughter, and love. Jackie’s life was a celebration, and her memory will continue to inspire and brighten the hearts of all who know her.
