Jacqueline "Jackie" Yvonne Evins' Obituary
Our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Jacqueline "Jackie" Yvonne (McDaniel) Evins, 66, of Catoosa, OK, departed this earth and entered God's heavenly kingdom on Wednesday, October 30, 2024.
Jackie was born in Jefferson City, Missouri, on June 28, 1958, to Milton Gene and Lucy McDaniel. Her family lived in Missouri and Wisconsin before settling in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
At age 14 in 1972, Jackie met the love of her life, Raymond "Ray" Evins, and they were inseparable from that point on. Married in 1977, they spent 47 loving years together. They supported each other through tough times and celebrated the good times, building a beautiful family together. While Ray was our coach, Jackie was our General Manager—they epitomized what a marriage should be.
During high school, Jackie had a co-op job with Arrow Specialty and began working there full-time after graduation. She dedicated her entire 47-year career to Arrow while at the same time earning her Associate Degree from Tulsa Community College and later a Bachelor Degree from St. Gregory’s University. She held many positions along the way. Most co-workers say Jackie practically ran the place, even if unofficially!
Jackie cherished time at their lake house, enjoyed mornings with coffee on the patio and cheering for the Oklahoma State University Cowboys. She adored her family and was everyone's favorite Nana, always ready to rock a grandbaby to sleep or pack a snack bag for the road. She was our caretaker and love-giver.
Preceded in death by her parents, Milton Gene and Lucy McDaniel; brothers, Rick McDaniel and Jeff McDaniel; and one grandchild, Judah Batman.
She is survived by her loving husband, Raymond Evins; children Nicholas Evins (Kate Hoback) and Jennifer Batman (Devin Batman); grandchildren William Batman, Kyle Evins, Luke Evins, Theodore Batman, Jack Evins, and Mila Batman; brother Mike McDaniel; and mother-in-law Mildred Evins-Cravens. Along with numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 8th, at 10am at Floral Haven. Viewing will take place on Thursday, November 7th, from 4-7pm at Floral Haven.
