She graduated in 1963 from McClain High School. Then her dreams and adventures began. She joined the US Marine Corps after her brother did. She received an Honorable Discharge with the rank of Corporal. Her dreams of college, with degrees in History and Nursing, of marriage and children, and of publishing a book all came true.
Jackie’s adventures in writing started at 8 years old. Her love of Star Trek started with that first episode on September 8th, 1966. Jackie helped organize the oldest science fiction convention in Oklahoma, called Okon, starting in 1977. With close friends, she was a member of the filk music group Great Broads of the Galaxy. And, for over 40 years, met with an “adopted” family of friends at Kamp Kahn each year.
On to Baby Bonus, her first romance novel published in 1996, which achieved the USA Today top 100 list. With a critique group of dear friends, many stories followed: Broken Promise, Warrior’s Heart and many short stories. She finished her last book a week before she died. Jackie’s love of Pediatrics, her family, her friends and Spock made her life eventful.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, David Scott and Rose Marie (Kramer) Jones; by a nephew David Scott Jones III and a great-nephew, Ryker Dane Teague. She is survived by her brother, David Scott and Jill Jones Jr of Broken Arrow.; her sons Frank A and Julia Mary Bielowicz of Broken Arrow, and David T. and Rhonda Bielowicz of Tulsa; grandchildren Kol Bielowicz and Michaelangelo Bielowicz and great-grandson Oliver of the home; as well as many more grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
