James Wesley Adams' Obituary
James Wesley Adams was born in Bartlesville, OK on January 3, 1937 to Ruth Imogene (Meiser) Adams and Ethner “Pete” Dean Adams, both deceased. James “Jim” is survived by his wife of 50 years, Margie, daughter Robyn Farrar and her husband Mark, daughter Angela Bippus and her husband Ron, daughter Deana Cantrell and her husband Leon, thirteen grandchildren, Nicole Farrar Davis and her husband Jeff, Kristi Engle and her husband Kody, Michael Bippus and his wife Lindsay, Amy Cohlmia and her husband Mitch, Brian Bippus, Steven Bippus, Danielle Farrar, Joshua Cantrell and Jared Cantrell, and nine great-grandchildren Olivia Bippus, Alyssa Engle, Grayson Bippus, Andrew Davis, Brooklynn Engle, Reese Cohlmia, Patrick Bippus, Miles Cohlmia and Ella Davis and one brother, Larry Adams of Houston, TX. Jim was a “people person”. He worked most of his career in the bowling industry and whether he was on the desk at Rose Bowl or Sheridan Lanes or actually on the lanes bowling in league, everyone knew him. He always made time to visit and knew everyone. He loved people and they loved him. Bowling was a staple in his life until his health no longer allowed him to participate but because of his success in the sport, he was recognized and inducted into the Bowler’s Hall of Fame in 2009. His great pride was his family. It was his number one priority and while he wasn’t a person who showed a lot of emotion, there was never any doubt how much this man loved his wife, each of his daughters, his grandchildren and his great grandchildren. He was a man you could always count on and knew that he would be your greatest supporter in anything you tried to do. He was extremely proud of each member of his family and enjoyed being able to spend time with them. He was able to remain at home until the last few days of his life when he was moved to Clarehouse. It was truly fitting that at the end of his life, as he passed away on January 20, 2017, he was surrounded by his family until he took his very last breath. This man endured so much through the progression of his cancer. We are so thankful that he is no longer in pain. I, as well as my mom, my sisters and the rest of our family are now and always will be so very proud of my dad, Jim Adams. We love you dad and we miss you……until we see you again. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation in honor/memory of James “Jim” Adams to Clarehouse or visit the “wish list” of needs.
