James Arthur Greenway's Obituary
James Arthur Greenway, a longtime resident of Tulsa, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at the age of 83. He was born July 8, 1932 to Walter Elwood and Mae Blanche (Sinclair) Greenway in Tulsa, Oklahoma. On January 4, 1952 he married Patti Sue Andrew in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mr. Greenway served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He was a 32nd Degree Master Mason and Member of Delta Lodge No. 425, Member of the Akdar Shrine and Scottish Rite, Member and Past Director of the Royal Order of Jesters Tulsa Court 47 and an Honorary Member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. Mr. Greenway was a member of the Boston Avenue United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, running and racquet ball but his greatest joy was spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren and his beloved Poodle, Mr. Knightley.He was in preceded death by his parents, Walter Elwood and Mae Blanch Greenway; two sisters, Judith Lee Hush and Barbara Ann Dirrim.Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Patti Sue Greenway; three children, James Greenway, Jr. and wife, Sherri; Shelley Burlew and husband Jarroll; and John Greenway and wife Kelly; nine grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.The Memorial Service is scheduled for Tuesday, April 12th at 1:00 p.m. at The Boston Avenue United Methodist Church, Rose Chapel with Dr. William Tankersley officiating.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Boston Avenue United Methodist Church – Television Ministry in the memory of James A.
