Mr. Birtell would tutor students at Leisure Park Elementary school for as long as I taught there. I looked forward to his visits. We often found time to chat before the students were needing our time. His wisdom, love for the kids, and patience with them was very beneficial to many students who might be struggling with their studies. His encouragement and good humor was uplifting to me every time we got to visit. I am so glad our paths crossed in our lifetimes, and I look forward to seeing him again.
