James Edward Boggs' Obituary
Mr. James Edward Boggs, born September 4,1929 and died November 4, 2011. He was retired from Oklahoma Natural Gas as a Safety Director. He served in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant and was also in the Navel Reserve. Mr. Boggs was President of American Society of Safety Engineers from 1976-1977. Mr. Boggs enjoyed airplanes, obtained his pilots license and spent hours visiting with his friends at Harvey Young Airport. He enjoyed riding motorcyles and took many trips with Ethel and friends, on his Goldwing to places such as Colorado, New Mexico, Arkansas, and Texas. Jim was a loyal husband and a loving dad and grandpa and a great-grandpa. He was a quiet man, but when he spoke it was usually something important or interesting. Survivors include his wife Ethel, children, David Boggs, Philip Boggs, Andrea and husband Bob Horn. Grandsons Jaafer Gassid and wife Jennah; Great Grandsons Jaxson, Jantzen and Jarret, Saudik and Loretta Gassid. Sister Zelda Dodd, Niece Lona Mae McClendon, great nephew Randy McClendon, wife Sue daugthers Kasy and Ali, nieces Pat Phillips and sister-in-law Louise E. Taylor.
