James B "Brady" Cypert's Obituary
Cypert, James B. (Brady) 68, passed away Sunday, November 08, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born August 11, 1941, in Chillicothe, Ohio. Brady graduated from Central High School in Muskogee, Oklahoma; Northeastern State University for his undergraduate degree; and the University of Tulsa for his Masters degree in education. He was a teacher and an elementary principal for many years with Tulsa Public Schools. He was a choir director for several surrounding churches and an active member of Asbury United Methodist Church, where he most recently directed the Singing Ambassadors. Brady was preceded in death by: his father, Jack Cypert; his mother, Blanche Brady Cypert Dawson; and his sister, June Anne Cypert Hobensack. A memorial service will be held at Mason Chapel, Asbury United Methodist Church, 6767 S. Mingo, Tulsa, on Thursday November, November 12, 2009 at 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and the National Kidney Foundation.Survived By: his wife, Linda; five children, Renee Pilant and husband, James; Gia Lions and husband, Chris; Jolinda Moss and husband, Larry; Joel B. Colpitts and wife, Sheila; and Jana Creech and husband, Brandon; ten grandchildren; one sister, Carole Cypert Cole; one brother William B. Dawson, M.D. and wife Karen.
