James Matthew Breeden, born on December 5, 1937, in Hodgen, Oklahoma, has peacefully passed away. He was the beloved son of Carl Breeden and Zona (Woodard) Breeden. James graduated from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and embarked on a fulfilling journey through life.
Throughout his career, James showcased his remarkable skills as a mechanic, starting with International Harvester and Frontier. Later, he took on the role of managing the truck shop for Mizer's Asphalt. His dedication and expertise were greatly admired by all who had the privilege of working with him.
James was not only passionate about his work but also found joy in the thrilling world of car racing and dedicating his time to working on those cars. His enthusiasm for the sport was infectious, and he cherished every moment spent around the racetrack.
James proudly served his country as a member of the Air Force, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to his nation.
Above all else, James was a devoted family man. He shared his life with his loving wife, Patricia Odom, whom he married on May 18, 1957, in Tulsa, OK. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
In his journey through life, James faced the loss of his parents, Carl and Zona, and endured the heartbreak of losing his daughter, Gail Lorene Breeden. Their memory will forever remain in our hearts.
A Funeral Service to honor and remember James Matthew Breeden will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Rose Chapel at Floral Haven Funeral Home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Friends and family are invited to come together to celebrate his life and pay their final respects.
James will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his legacy of love, dedication, and a life well-lived will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
