James Wilson Bynum was born March 19, 1937 in Wagoner, Oklahoma the son of Wilson and Mary Opal Grigg Bynum and he passed from this life on February 18, 2009 in Wagoner, Oklahoma. James served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. James was married to Chris Bynum August 28, 1954 in Claremore, Oklahoma. James was a member at First Baptist Church in Broken Arrow. He was a retired Tulsa Firefighter. Services are 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Floral Haven Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at 10:00 AM, Monday, February 23, 2009 at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery with Military HonorsSurvived By: Wife; Chris of the home, 3 children and their spouses; Cherokee (Pat) Doyle of Claremore, Rhonda Bro of Tulsa and Dennis (Kammie) Bynum of Claremore, 2 sisters; Darlene Alba and Linda Honeycutt both of Inola, 1 brother; Kenny J. Bynum of Inola. He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren along with many other relatives, loved ones and friends. James was preceded in death by his parents.
