James P. Chamberlain
James Paul Chamberlain, affectionately referred to as Jim, peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, August 14th, 2024, at the age of 73. He passed away surrounded by his family at his residence in Broken Arrow, Ok. Jim Chamberlain, born on April 23, 1951, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was the son of Gerald
P. Chamberlain and Patricia A. Chamberlain. He was welcomed by his older sister, Carol. In 1973, Jim went on a blind date and met his future wife, Sandy Starr, at Rocky's Bar. On April 22, 1974, Jim and Sandy exchanged vows in Oklahoma City. In 1977, he attained a Bachelor's degree in Business from the University of Oklahoma, a milestone that solidified his enduring affection for the Oklahoma Sooners. Throughout his career, Jim focused his talents on Sales and Management at companies such as General Electric for a total of twenty years, and Eaton from which he retired in 2015. His residency spanned various cities including Oklahoma City, OK. Tulsa, OK. Plano, TX Normal, IL, Birmingham, AL, and Greer, SC. Jim made his way back to Oklahoma and settled in Broken Arrow where he had resided for twenty-two years. Jim had a love for sports. One of his greatest passions was following his OU Sooner Football team. He was also an accomplished baseball catcher, ending a possible colligate career with knee injuries. Jim was a talented and avid golfer for most of his life and loved being on the green.
Jim's passing was preceded by his father, Gerald P. Chamberlain, mother Patricia A.
Chamberlain, and sister Carol A. Stein.
He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Sandy K. Chamberlain of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Among his surviving family members are his eldest daughter, Laura K. Davis, and her husband Jeff L. Davis of Lyman, South Carolina: daughter Kari Chamberlain Miller and her husband John M. Miller of Tulsa, Oklahoma; son James Bradley Chamberlain and his wife Amy C. Chamberlain of Birmingham, Alabama; and his youngest daughter, Kati Chamberlain and her partner Greg J. Bossler of Catoosa, Oklahoma. Jim took great pride in his role as a grandad to seven granddaughters; Madi, Abbi, Charlotte, Victoria, Adelaide, Penny, and Oona.

Visitation will be held Sunday, August 18, 2024 from 3-5 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home
