James Ray Davenport's Obituary
James Ray Davenport ,68, died December 30, 2010 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. James was born June 11, 1942 in Bethesda, Arkansas. He was the son of JamesThomas and Mary Louella (Nolen) Davenport. He served in the United States Army. Leaves behind his daughter Tonya Glasser and her significant other Elmer Fulton of Okmulgee. Son Christopher Davenport and his wife Traci of Wagoner, step daughter Angela Davenport, and three grandchildren Alysha, Bayli, and Kayti. Jim was a painter all his life. He loved to fish and be on the go. He didn’t sit still very long before starting another project, whether it would be painting a car or working on his house. Just recently he made the comment to Tonya concerning his career and civic accomplishments in being a painter, he enjoyed painting because he liked to see things come to life after painting it. Some of his most wonderful family experiences were hanging out at the cabin in Tahlequah and swimming in the Baron Fork Creek below the cabin. Memorial services are scheduled for 11 a.m Wednesday at the Twin Oaks Baptist Church , Wagoner at White Horn Cove with lunch following at the church and a graveside mililtary committal of cremains at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery at 2 p.m.
