James "Jim" Edward Morris' Obituary
James “Jim” Edward Morris was born March 2, 1951 to Clarence E. “Eddie” and Ola Morris in Tulsa. He graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1969. After attending Oklahoma Military Academy in Claremore and working for the Tulsa World, he joined the US Army and was stationed at Tripler Army Medical Center. It was in Honolulu where he met his first wife, Debbie Kawasaki.St. John Medical Center was a driving force in Jim’s life. It was there he was born, met his wife, Lois, and had a 35-year career. He departed this world from St. John on Friday morning, August 14, 2015. Crazy Ole Jimbo made many friends through his work in Radiology and the Emergency Department. When he wasn’t at St. John Jim could often be found on a golf course.Jim is survived by his wife, Lois (their 34th wedding anniversary is August 16), his father Eddie, sister Susan, daughter Amanda Morris of Hawaii, daughter Allegra Grawer (Kevin), son Thomas Sloan (Laquita), grandchildren Thomas (Alyssa), Lydia, Micah, Jonah, nephew Chris Day, and great-grandson Josiah. He had a special friendship with neighbors Allyn and Cheryl Greene and their daughter Jerakah. He counted as his own grandchildren Adin, Jesse and Seth. Jim was preceded in death by his mother Ola and a grandson Brody.Lois and family want to thank Betty, Yvonne and all the volunteers in the Surgery Waiting Room, all CVICU staff, Dr. Robert Garrett, Dr. Jason Henderson, and Dr. Richard Kacere.
