James "Jim" E. Longwill's Obituary
Jim E. Longwill, age 81, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jim was born on May 18, 1933 in Des Moines, New Mexico to Harold and Minnie Longwill. He attended Des Moines Elementary and Oceanview Middle School in New Mexico,and Huntington Beach High School in California. After graduating from Huntington Beach High School, Jim joined the Navy and served as a corpsman in the Korean War. He was honorably discharged and went on to earn a degree in accounting from Fullerton Business School. He went on to work at Autonetics and then American Airlines as a System Analyst. Jim retired in 1996 after serving for over 30 years with American Airlines. He married Sharon Miller on October 3, 1992 at Christ United Methodist in Tulsa. Jim cherished the birth of his children and time he got spend with his family after retiring. He was a kind, witty, humorous gentleman who will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Miller, his children: Joyce Hesskamp, and her husband, Jay, of St. Charles, MO, Cindy Washington, and her husband, Dennis, of Stillwater, OK, and Mike Longwill, and his wife, Stacey, of Portland, OR, step-sons; Colton Miller, and his girlfriend, Samantha, and Cam Miller, and his wife, Diana, his grandchildren: Eric Wheeler, and his wife, Lara, of St. Charles, MO, Brian Wheeler, and his wife, Rachael, of O’Fallon, MO, Andy Wheeler, St. Charles, MO ,Hayden Morton, Tulsa, OK ,Mackenzie Longwill, Portland, OR, and Maddie Longwill, Portland, OR, step-grandchildren, Erica Miller, Robin Miller, Philip Washington, and Tim Washington, his great-grandchildren: Gracie Wheeler, Hope Wheeler, Gabe Wheeler, and Kennedy Morton.
