Dr. Good and I cooperated in the care of many patients while he was with South Denver Pulmonary. In addition to his vast fund of knowledge and technical expertise, he was among the most collegial members of an often fractious medical community. Sincere condolences to your entire extended family.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jim through his neighbor, my sister Patti and her husband Roger. The same day I met him he invited us over for drinks and great conversation. He was such a gracious host- you would’ve thought we had known each other for years and not just an hour or so. It was a wonderful evening with an interesting and sincere man. I know he will be missed by family and friends. I hope the great memories of him will help ease the pain of his passing. I can only imagine he is “upstairs” making someone else feel as comfortable as he did me.

Jim and I often walked our little dogs together (they were best friends) in our neighborhood in Greenwood Village, CO. Pedro and Brillo loved to pee on the same things and Jim and I talked and laughed. I will miss seeing him and Pedro charging down my street, around the park, and hanging in his garage and front lawn.

Dr. Good was a very close friend of the family and candidly my dad is having a much more difficult time. But long live Doctor Good, or at least his memory as he would want us all to be enjoying our time left on this Earth.

Mignon (Billie) Hively, a vibrant octogenarian and gifted artist, faced serious lung complications following cancer surgery. Even in those difficult days, her face would brighten the moment she heard Jim's voice echoing down the hospital hallway. His cheerful greeting brought out her beautiful smile and the familiar twinklier in her eyes. Jim's medical skill gave her excellent treatment, but it was his kindness, presence and genuine care that truly helped her heal.
In the months that followed Billie regained her strength and was finally able to attend the Arapahoe Hunt Ball. Jan and Jim Good were members and when Jim invited her onto the dance floor, it felt like a moment of pure celebration! Billie would say dancing with Jim, her doctor who had helped her through so much made it the finest evening she could remember!

Hanging in the hot tub with Jimmy after the 1993 Denver international marathon. It was my one and only, and I don’t know how many it was of Jimmy‘s 25 marathons! We shared many patients together. Jimmy was an outstanding gentleman physician. May his memory be for a blessing.
I was an RN at National Jewish - he was always kind and considerate to all the staff and patients- always a bright light and smile- MJ
Jim and I started our pulmonary fellowship together in 7/76. He spontaneously offered me his Porsche to take to the mountains to ski. He gently warned me the driver side window came loose and to be careful.
As might be expected I sheepishly returned his car with cardboard where the window should be. he smiled and said "when do you want to take it again".
I said to myself who is this guy? Could he really be that nice?The answer is a resounding yes!
