James DeWitt Grimes II's Obituary
James “Jim” DeWitt Grimes II, age 62, passed away on October 14, 2015 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Jim was born on December 28, 1952 in Anchorage, Alaska to his parents James DeWitt Grimes and Mary Rowena Brotton. Jim received his general education from Eufaula High School before attending Connors State College and Southwestern College to achieve his license as a practicing Nurse. He worked as a very dedicated and compassionate healthcare provider at several different agencies, hemodialysis centers, and hospitals. Jim married Pamela Foley on January 9, 2008 at the Wagoner Court House of Oklahoma after dating for almost 10 years. He was an active member of Sunnyside Baptist Church for which he served as the church clerk. His church family held a special place in his heart which furthered his relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Jim enjoyed the company of his dogs, woodworking, and watching sports. Some of his favorite past times were riding motorcycles, playing sports, and collecting movies. Jim cherished the time he got to spend with his family; especially his grandchildren. Jim is survived by his wife Pamela Foley, his daughter Amanda Grimes, his son Jeff Grimes, his daughter in-law Kendra Grimes, his granddaughter Ava Grimes, his granddaughter Elli Grimes, his best friend Steve Thornton, and a whole host of family and friends. Jim’s memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Sunnyside Baptist Church, 8091 S 305th E Ave, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
