James Richard Harmon's Obituary
Richard Harmon was called to his eternal home on Friday, October 21st, 2011 at the age of 66.Richard is survived by his wife, Marcy Harmon; Daughter Janice Hewitt and Husband Tim Hewitt; Sisters Kay Gaddis and Mary Ruth Dunham; Brothers Wilbur Harmon and Kenneth Harmon. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lee Oma Harmon; Sister Gwen Wetz; Brothers Ray Harmon and Wayne Harmon. Richard was the youngest of 8 children and he was so very proud of his brothers and sisters. He married his high school sweetheart and they were married 46 years. He had one daughter who was the delight of his life.Richard retired in 2009 after working for Solaray Corporation as Vice President of Sales for over 25 years. He was devoted to Solaray and always enjoyed his work. He developed many life-long friendships with his co-workers and clients.Richard is remembered as having a positive influence on many of the people that knew him. He was intelligent, fun, loyal, truthful and loving. He lived life to the fullest every day. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, October 26th, 2011 at Floral Haven Chapel, 6500 S 129th E Ave, Broken Arrow OK immediately followed by a reception at the Floral Haven Family Center. The visitation is Tuesday, October 25th, 2011 at Floral Haven from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in honor of Richard to Church On The Move, 1003 N. 129th E. Ave., Tulsa OK 74116-2131. Richard worshipped at Church On The Move and was especially impressed with all their programs and facilities for teens and children. (www.churchonthemove.com).
