James "Jim" David Holman's Obituary
James David Holman, 92 of Tulsa Oklahoma, was born August 17, 1933, in Kansas City, KS, to Bonnie Bernice Noland and William Riley Holman. He passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025 at his home in Tulsa, OK.
James (Jim) was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters and children, Diana Lee Gilleland, Charles David Holman, Robin Louise Holman and Brian Douglas Camp.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, Jim lived a full and joyful life. Jim was known for his generous spirit. His sense of humor and constant laughter brought warmth to every room he entered. He loved jokes and was a prankster. He enjoyed golf, dancing and spending time with his Marine Corp family.
His first marriage resulted in the birth of his six children. After that relationship ended, he raised those six children as a single parent. He married the love of his life Barbara on June 8, 1974, and that marriage blended his 6 children with her 4 children. They now have 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years Barbara, his children, Bernice Fugate, Riley Holman, Scherry & Mitch Glenn, DeLaine and Ken Yehle, Renee’ and Bill Ryan, and Dara and Steven Buchanon.
A celebration of life will be held Wednesday at 12:00 PM at
St James Church, 5050 E 111th St. S, Tulsa, OK 74137 and a committal service will follow at 2:30 PM at Fort Gibson National Cemetery,
Visitation will be Tuesday December 16, 2025, with family from
4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Floral Haven Funeral Home 6500 South
129th E Ave, Broken Arrow, OK 74012.
Pallbearers will be his Marine Corp Brothers.
Honorary Pallbearers: Son- Riley Holman, Grandsons Tanner Ryan, Kash Yehle and Cameron Lacy
