James R. Holt's Obituary
Holt, James Richard “Jim” James Richard, 71, of Tulsa, OK, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, January 6, 2016. He was born on March 19, 1944, son of the late Richard Romaine Holt and Carrie Juanice (Lowrey) Holt. On November 27, 1965, Jim married Candace L. Ramseyer “Candy” at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Woodland Hills, CA. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Jim proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy from 1961 – 1965. He was a longtime member of the Carpenter’s Union. He enjoyed woodworking, collecting Indian artifacts and other memorabilia and reading. Most importantly, Jim enjoyed keeping up on his grandchildren’s school and sports activities. Jim is survived by his wife, Candy; son: Robert Holt and daughter: Shelli (Tom) Blob of Appleton WI. grandchildren: Brandon Holt and Devon and Morgan Blob; siblings: Theda (Dean) Rowell, Alice (Louis) Grabbe and Ralph G. (Tammy) Stewart; and niece, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Lola Holt and Alta Marie (Holt) Ahearn; father and mother-in-law, Herman and Hilda Ramseyer; brother and sister-in-law: Mort and Tanya Schuman. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, January 11, 2016, at Floral Haven Funeral Home, 6500 S. 129th E. Ave, Broken Arrow, OK. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:00pm until 3:00pm. Military honors will be performed after the service. For online condolences, please visit www.floralhaven.com.
