Celebrating the Life of James 'Jim' Warner Hoyle
January 26, 1938 – January 29, 2025
From the heart of Broken Arrow, OK, Jim Hoyle lived a life as vibrant and creative as the show cars and race cars he passionately built. His boundless creativity wasn't limited to the racetrack; he crafted his own BBQ smokers, bringing family and friends together over delicious meals. A man of many talents, Jim delighted in collecting Japanese swords, guns, and coins—treasures that fascinated him and told stories of their own. His love for music, cooking, and outdoor activities painted his life with diverse colors, reflecting his intelligence, kindness and supportive nature.
Family was at the heart of Jim's world. Whether attending car shows, engaging in land speed record attempts and drag racing, or sharing the thrill of fishing trips, he cherished these moments with his loved ones. He is survived by his son Jason R. Hoyle, daughter Gaylen D. Williams, and brother Richard Hoyle. His dear friend Ned Rhodes and all who knew him will remember his organized approach to life and his creative spirit. Jim's love for target shooting, racing and the camaraderie that came with these activities enriched the lives of those around him. His BBQ gatherings were legendary, filled with laughter, stories
and the warmth of his hospitality.
As we celebrate Jim's beautiful life, we invite you to join in a Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the Trinity Presbyterian Church in Bixby, located at 9303 East 111th St S, Bixby, OK 74008
