James Francis Idoux's Obituary
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of James Francis Idoux, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, veteran, and friend. James left us peacefully on August 7, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on January 31, 1946, James lived a life marked by quiet dignity, a deep love for his country, and an unwavering commitment to his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Karen Idoux; his children, Robert Idoux, Nicole and Jon Tanzey, Monique Brinker, Stephen and Kathryn Idoux, and Matthew and Heidi Idoux; and his cherished grandchildren, Karlyn Tanzey, Kyle Tanzey, Mack Idoux, Betty Anne Idoux, Maggie Idoux, Thomas Idoux, and Benjamin Brinker.
James found joy in the simple pleasures of life: the delicate intricacies of stamps, the history held within coins, and the immersive worlds of political espionage novels. His patriotism was not just a sentiment but a way of life, exemplified by his honorable service as a veteran. His love for his children and grandchildren knew no bounds, and his affection for animals, especially his beloved dog, was a testament to his compassionate spirit.
James is now reunited with his son-in-law, Brian Brinker, his parents, and all of his siblings. While we mourn his loss, we take comfort in knowing that he leaves behind a legacy of love, honor, and kindness.
A man of few words, James’ actions always spoke louder, teaching us the value of integrity and the virtue of simplicity. His memory will be a beacon for all who knew him, guiding us with the principles he lived by.
We invite all family and friends to join us in celebrating James’ life and to share stories of how he touched our lives in his unique and special way. His presence will be deeply missed, but the memories he created will forever be cherished in our hearts.
