Doug Bradt
I am so sad to learn of Jim's passing. We last spoke a couple of weeks before when he was in the midst of transitioning to a new living space. He was sad, but as he often did he shifted to talking about what was happening with me. Jim was the hazer when I arrived at Worldcom in 1995, but eventually we became big buddies, generally eating lunch together several times per week. He was so funny and oh the stories he could tell from his life journey. I remember sadder times he had to navigate as well, but he was also a super strong person and made it through....certainly not without some scarring, not that he'd ever share much as he didn't want to bring you down. While he was never quite the same after the fall in NY, his sense of humor remained. I always loved getting my Christmas and birthday cards...always a sweet note and what a signature he had! I was fortunate enough to have gotten to visit him September 2024. It was a good visit in the mancave, chats about the good old days, him catching up with my family stories....and then a hug and this picture. I am so sad that Jim has left us, but I am thankful that he is no longer struggling with his health. Take care, Jim. I'll miss you buddy. Tell Boots, Fraidy, and the other cat buddies hi for me.
