James Robert Land's Obituary
James Robert Land, 59, of Tulsa passed away on Nov. 26, 2004 in his home surrounded by loved ones. Jim grew up in Stilwell and attended NSU where he earned a M.Ed. degree and a B.S. in Criminal Justice. Jim began his career as an elem. teacher in Tahlequah where he was loved and respected by students and colleagues. He entered law enforcement in 1977 remaining active throughout his career. His dedication to serving his community earned him numerous awards and praises from those who knew him. His career included Investigations for the State Insurance Fund as well as management of the Tulsa office. In retirement, he earned the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office 1999 Reserve Deputy of the Year Award. Jim took great pride in his position as Senior Deacon of Delta Lodge No. 425 and was also a 32nd degree Mason. Jim’s passing is made more bearable because of his loving spirit and strong convictions. His strength of character left a profound impact on the lives of all who knew him. He is survived by: his wife, Dona; daughter, Tracy Case and her husband Rick; sons, Rob Land, Beau Ciucci and his wife Amy, and Brian Ciucci; mother and father-in-law, Hilma and B.W. Anderson; granddaughters, Jordan Case, Lauren Ciucci, and Darian Ciucci. Jim left many friends, who along with the family, will miss him greatly. Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Francis Hospice, 6600 S. Yale Ave., Ste. 350, Tulsa 74136, who provided great comfort to the family. Services to be held on Tuesday, Nov. 30th at 10:00 a.m. at Floral Haven Chapel.Survived By: his wife, Dona of the home; daughter, Tracy and her husband, Rick Case; sons, Rob Land, Beau Ciucci and his wife Amy, and Brian Ciucci; mother and father-in-law, Hilma and B.W.
