James Keith Lovell's Obituary
James Keith Lovell, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, passed away on January 31, 2025, at the age of 82. He was born on September 28, 1942, in Tulsa to James Harrell and Mildred Ellen Lovell.
James lived a life full of love, laughter, and wisdom. His commitment to his family was unmatched, and he was a source of strength and support to those who knew him. He served his country in the Army. He had a deep passion for Oklahoma Sooners football, fishing, horses, westerns, and music and his kindness and generosity made an impact on everyone he met.
He is survived by his children Carleen and Sonya Lovell and her partner Kendra Cathey, grandchildren Cornelia Handy and her husband Wesley, Teresa Grace and her husband Josiah and their child Sebastian, and his brother Cliffard Lovell who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. James was preceded in death by his wife Miriam, his parents James and Mildred and his sister Ruth.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on February 12, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. in the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, where friends and family are invited to share memories and honor his legacy.
James will be greatly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him. Rest in peace, James. Boomer Sooner!
