James Manning Luetjen's Obituary
Jim Luetjen went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 17 at the age of 82. Jim was born and raised in Kansas City Missouri and served as Staff Sergeant during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Emma, his brother Robert and sister Norma Jean and most recently by his beloved wife of 62 years, Bonnie Sue. Jim began his career in the clothing business as manager of Bonds and Rothchilds stores in Kansas City and was transferred to Tulsa as city manager of Woolf Brothers stores in 1968. In 1971, Jim opened Luetjen’s Ltd where he was known as a consummate professional in the clothing industry and one of the friendliest guys you’d ever meet. Jim is survived by his daughter Karen Grasel and her husband Steve, daughter Janet Luetjen, son Jim Luetjen Jr and his wife Laurie, as well as 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Jim loved people and life but looked forward to Heaven where he would meet his Lord and be reunited with Bonnie. His family and friends rejoice in his homecoming and a life well lived.
