James Mitchell, 86 of Owasso, Oklahoma passed from this life on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 in Claremore, Oklahoma. He was born November 6, 1931 in Watts, Oklahoma, a son of Sam Lovell Mitchell and Mattie Clarice Wilson Mitchell.James is survived by two sons, Michael Mitchell and wife Sylvia of Talala, Oklahoma and Jimmy Keith Mitchell of Owasso, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Mattie Mitchell; his wife, Lou Edith Mitchell; and one brother, Howard Wayne Mitchell.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 17, 2018 in the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00pm on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Floral Haven Funeral Home.
